For Amazon Jungle Trips, it is essential to stand out by providing quality service through a sustainability-minded model that supports social, cultural, and economic well-being. Our management policies are designed to promote sustainable tourism and encourage practices that cause the lowest possible environmental impact, developing strategies and commitments that ensure compliance with sustainability standards and policies.

When travelers arrive at our facilities, they will receive a brief explanation of the sustainability policies that guide our tours, including safety, weather conditions, regional cuisine, local handicrafts, and community customs.

We provide training that helps our team and the local population use and promote responsible practices in their daily lives, while improving service quality so travelers can enjoy tourism activities without harming the environment or local communities, ensuring that future generations can enjoy the same opportunities.

We operate with small groups in order to reduce visitor impact on the environment.

Saving water, saving energy, and recycling are important parts of our path toward environmental responsibility and sustainability. We apply practical measures in our management processes to meet our proposed goals.

We promote refilling water bottles at dispensers located in public areas in order to reduce plastic waste.

We use environmentally friendly paper for printing when printing is necessary. In general, quotations and other information for travelers are sent by email. Environmentally friendly paper is used for office documents.

We provide at least 24 mandatory training hours per year on subjects considered essential for good work performance. Strategic topics include languages, customer service, emergency management, first aid, and course updates. All training activities must be recorded in a form designed for that purpose.

We promote visits to different Amazon towns, as well as local cuisine, handicrafts, customs, and cultural expressions.

• We maintain ongoing training in sustainability topics so that all collaborators are informed and oriented toward sustainable management within the tour operation.
• Saving water and energy, along with recycling, are core pillars of our commitment as a responsible company. Amazon Jungle Trips commits to:

  • Maintain proper hygiene and safety conditions for the health of clients, collaborators, suppliers, and communities in general.
• Waste generated during tours and office operations will be managed properly.
• Land or river transport services, whether owned or contracted, must be up to date with applicable technical inspections, mandatory vehicle insurance, and all corresponding requirements.
• We encourage agency collaborators, through their interaction with clients, to involve travelers in the sustainability concepts practiced by the company.
• The company will implement measures to ensure and encourage water and electricity savings among collaborators and clients. These practices are described in the resource management plan used in agency processes and during tours.
• The company operates with small groups, helping create the lowest possible environmental impact and preserving the enjoyment of the ecosystems we visit for current and future generations.
• At least 30% of the company’s suppliers should have or participate in a program, standard, or certification that identifies them for sustainable tourism practices.
• For cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, priority will be given to environmentally friendly products, whether organic or rapidly biodegradable.
• The use of substances such as chlorine, which may cause significant impact and deterioration to the environment and ecosystems, is not permitted.
• Amazon Jungle Trips declares itself a smoke-free tour operator, prohibiting smoking in the office and transport units, and promoting a healthy, clean, and comfortable environment for clients, visitors, and collaborators.
• We develop and support recycling campaigns that encourage clients and community members to participate in a socially beneficial environmental culture.
• Amazon Jungle Trips works to protect and reaffirm the values of our natural attractions, which make the region internationally recognized for natural richness, conservation, and sustainable tourism.
